1945The Beginning

Bob Trulaske, along with his father, Frank, and later his brother, Art, collaborate to develop a refrigeration company in their Lenox Avenue home. They begin manufacturing wrapped rail roll-top bottle coolers for beer and beverages in a multi-story warehouse on Pine Street in downtown St. Louis.

1948This is a True Story

A 7UP^® salesman noticed one of the first refrigerators at a neighborhood bar, after finding out it didn’t require an expensive block of ice, he had to know who built it.

In 1948, the 7UP^® company purchased its first order of True Roll Top Bottle Coolers, and the legacy was born.

1954Going International

True sells its first coolers to the Caribbean and Central American markets, establishing the beginning of True’s international sales efforts.

1966Modern Coolers for a Modern Age

Coca-Cola® Company approves True equipment.

True introduces Flat Top Bottle Coolers, which are still being manufactured today.

1972Foodservice

True begins its foodservice industry sales at the 1972 National Restaurant Association.

True builds new headquarters on Cannonball Lane in O’Fallon, MO.

1984Steady Growth

Steady growth in demand leads to increase production. Factory and office space expands 100,000 sq. ft. every two and a half years.

Largest addition to date was in 1998 - 638,000 sq. ft. of office / warehouse space that would become True’s O’Fallon headquarters.

1990Graphics Capabilities

True enhances its graphic capabilities by incorporating state-of-the-art silk screen presses.

Today True employs the most advanced printing technologies available to produce stunning graphics to fit our customer’s brands and themes.

1999Performance Refrigeration

Growth in the international sales market leads True to open a 100,000 sq. ft. facility in England.

True unveils a Reach-In prototype at NAFEM: The TR Series.

200560 Years of Excellence

True celebrates 60 years of commercial refrigeration and is voted Overall Best in Class in the United States.

True has become a world leader through its comprehensive research and development, corporate expansion, and capital investment approach.

2014Sustainability

True partnered with Missouri’s Brightergy, who has designed & installed solar power systems on 23 building locations. This allows True to produce 756,502 Kilowatt hours of energy and reduce our carbon emissions by 1,176,717 pounds per year.
