Warranty FAQs

• Can anyone work on my True product?

  Yes, as long as they are licensed in commercial refrigeration. True has preferred and recommended service companies that are familiar with our products. Please visit the Service Company Locator to find a preferred or recommended service company.

• How do I get reimbursed for a warranty compressor?

  Please complete the Warranty Compressor Form to receive reimbursement for a warranty compressor. A picture of the compressor tag and product serial number is required for reimbursement. In addition, a copy of the replacement compressor invoice must be included with the compressor tag if not purchased from True.

• How do I know if my product is still under warranty?

  To verify the warranty, please contact the Warranty Department at 855-878-9277 or email warrantyinquiries@truemfg.com. A product serial number is required to verify the warranty.

• How do I place a warranty part order?

  Warranty part orders can be called into the warranty department at 855-878-9277, emailed to warrantypartorders@truemfg.com, or faxed to 636-980-8510. Please make sure to include the product serial number.

• How do I register my product?

  Please register online on the Product Registration page, or you can submit a copy of your bill of sale with the model, serial number, and company name and address. Please email it to warrantyinquiries@truemfg.com.

• How do I replace a defective compressor?

  Please visit our Warranty Compressor Procedures page for instructions on replacing a defective compressor.

  Procedures for Warranty Compressor Reimbursement or Replacement

  For U.S. and Canada customers only.

  1. Call in the failure of the compressor to 800-325-6152 and ask for the Service Department. Have the serial number of the cooler ready.

  2. Take a picture of the defective compressor tag and submit it to True via one of the following methods:

  The picture must be clear and readable and include the whole tag. All numbers will need to be read to verify that the correct compressor was still installed in the cooler. In your submission, include the cooler’s serial number and also the ship-to address (if requesting shipment of another compressor). Once the tag is verified, the compressor will be sent out at no charge.

  3. If a picture is not something that can be done, then the compressor can be purchased from any of our Parts Depots in your area. Once the compressor has been changed out, the tag can be returned to the depot, and credit will be issued once the tag is verified. To find the nearest Parts Depot in your area, please call 800-325-6152 and ask for the Parts Department or Warranty.

  4. If you have an account with True, then a compressor can be ordered and shipped out. You will be billed for the compressor. Once the compressor has been changed out, the tag can be returned to True for credit after tag verification. Return the tag by email to compressortags@truemfg.com or fax it to 636-980-8510.

  5. If a compressor is purchased locally at a distributor not affiliated with True Manufacturing, the remaining compressor warranty will be voided.

  6. If the compressor is purchased local, please send in a priced copy of the invoice from the compressor purchase along with the tag. Once the tag is verified, then True will reimburse the compressor purchase up to the amount that the compressor could be purchased from True.

  Claims must be received within six months of the repair date.

  If the technician calls in the failure and is told that the cooler is under warranty, this does not mean that the compressor will automatically be no charge or credited. The end user must have abided by True’s Warranty terms included with the cooler, and all tags must be verified for proof that True’s compressor was still installed in the cooler. Please note that a start component failure would not be covered under compressor only warranty, the compressor itself must fail.

• How do I schedule a warranty service call, and what do I need to provide when scheduling service?

  Enter your zip/postal code on the Service Company Locator for a service agent near you. Then, you would contact the service agent directly and provide the product serial number, your location, and the issue needing to be addressed.

• How much time do you allow for repairs?

  The time allowed varies by model and can be found on our Repair Guidelines by Model list.

• When will my warranty part order ship?

  Shipping times depend on part availability and peak times. To check on a specific warranty order, contact the warranty department at 855-878-9277 or email us at warrantyinquiries@truemfg.com.

  Please make sure to include the cabinet serial number.

• Where can I find a copy of my warranty manual?

  Please visit the Manuals Page in the support section of our website.

• Where can I find my product serial number?

  Your serial number is typically located on the inside left wall of the product. Occasionally, the serial number is on the right inside the wall of the product.

• Where can I locate the Warranty Claim Form?

  Please visit the Warranty Claim Form page.

• Where do I send a picture of the compressor tag?

  Please send the compressor tag, model, and serial number to compressortags@truemfg.com.

• Where do I submit warranty invoices?

  Visit our Warranty Claim Form page. Warranty invoices and the service work order may be emailed, faxed, or mailed.
